To open the dialog shown below, choose the entry "Music -> Read / Remove from iPod" in menu.
1 - Display
In this display all tracks on the current iPod are listed in a tree structure.
2 - Sort
With these buttons the sorting order can be changed. By default the tracks are ordered by artist > album > title, but it could be usefull to change the sort to album > artist > title.
3 - File- / Foldernames
Edit the text strings to modify the names, given to files and folders when copying tracks to your PC.
The upper field defines the folder structure, the lower one the naming of the files. With the %-symbol you can attach artist, album, title and tracknumber. You can find more information on the button "help" .
Example:
iPod - %A_%L-%T results in following filename: iPod - Dire Straits_Money For Nothing-Sultans Of Swing.mp3
4 - Copy and remove
Set check marks in the tree to choose tracks you want to remove or copy to PC or another iPod. To copy the tracks to another iPod you only have to select an iPod instead of a path on harddisk.
